Aquatechnex biologists completed two major Eurasian Milfoil control projects this past year that were featured in the SePRO Lake and Pod Hero’s program.
American Lake is a 1200 acre system located in the Tacoma Washington area, the lake is somewhat unique in that about half of the shoreline is federal property associated with the Fort Lewis Army Base. The entire littoral area of the lake was heavily impacted by this noxious aquatic weed and unusable. Vancouver Lake is a 2700 acre system just outside Portland Oregon on the Washington side of the Columbia River. Over 700 of those acres were dominated by this expanding problem last summer.
